Embracing Value-Based Health Care: A Guide for Exercise Physiologists.
This course combines information from global and local resources, leading researchers in VBHC, and Chronic Care Australia's vision and real-world experiences. It is an 8-hour professional development course intended to provide you, an Exercise Physiologist, with awareness and education of the concept of Value-Based Health Care, and how the application of VBHC can support you to provide the utmost support and care to your clients.
Structure.
This course is online and self-paced (approximately 8 hours), allowing you to set your own learning time, taking time to reflect on how you and your workplace are currently set-up for VBHC, and how you can implement further strategies. It is a resource that has been designed to inspire you to implement VBHC within your clinical space and daily practice.
MODULES
Module 1: Introduction to Value-Based Health Care (VBHC)
Module 2: Applying VBHC Principles
Module 3: Implementation Strategies for Exercise Physiologists
Module 4: The Role of Exercise Physiologists in Driving Change
ASSESSMENT
At the end of each module, you will be required to complete a short multiple-choice assessment to test your knowledge. Each assessment requires an 80% pass mark for you to continue to the next module. You have three attempts of each assessment to achieve the pass mark.

You will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the course.
Note, as this is an External ESSA Accredited PD, ESSA requires you to also complete and upload a Self-Assessment Form to your My PD portal.
